Teedra Moses Drops ‘Doin’ You’ Reimagined Feat. Estelle

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Teedra Moses returns with her reimagined single “Doin’ You” featuring Estelle, the lead release from her forthcoming EP “Complex Simplicity (Reimagined)”, available Wednesday, November 12th.

The reimagining concept for “Doin’ You” was to make women and men dance together,” states Teedra. “The rhythm Jacques and I created automatically invited Estelle because she is sensual, sexy, soulful, fun and free! Working on Doin’ You with her was extremely simple because that’s my sister, my real friend. I love this collaboration because it was as easy and genuine as it feels!”

Originally released in 2004, “Complex Simplicity” cemented Teedra Moses as one of R&B’s most beloved and quietly revolutionary voices.

Its blend of classic soul, streetwise lyricism, and self-assured femininity shaped the foundation for much of modern R&B and influenced an entire generation of artists. Two decades later, “Complex Simplicity (Reimagined)” both honors and expands upon that legacy, offering fresh interpretations of Teedra’s most celebrated songs through the lens of growth, collaboration, and sonic evolution.

The EP features contributions from Durand Bernarr, Dawn Richard, Rose Gold, Theo Croker, Gerald Clayton, and Ab-Soul.

Fans can experience Teedra Moses and Estelle live on stage at the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. on December 21st at 8 PM ET, marking a powerful collaboration that bridges past and present.

In 2004 we were asked by our rep at TVT Records to help launch Teedra‘s single “Be Your Girl” on our then brand T M H.

We were also granted one of the first interviews with Teedra as she promoted her debut album “Complex Simplicity.” Our interview was apart of her roll-out and was mentioned in Billboard Magazine.

Aries from UB, asked Teedra then, what overall expression did she want music lovers to get from her album? “Just to see where I was coming from when I recorded it. Like this is some of the realest shit I have ever heard. It’s all me, you know! No tricks, just the truth.” Teedra continued; “The producers who worked on my album just let me be me. It’s just real and it’s coming from my heart, I’m not trying to fit in with what’s playing on the radio. Teedra is just being Teedra and I was writing about what I was going through at that given time. I want people to feel it.”
